That’s right kids, no need to wait until you outgrow those diapers to get a cell phone of your very own. Just ask Dad for the new Zeki cell phone marketed for toddlers. YoungToys of Korea is launching a cell phone marketed down-market, as they like to say. You know, for the younger set.
This is not a toy or walkie talkie dressed up to look like a cell phone (although it has short range walkie-talkie capabilities), it’s a real phone with more functionality than my grown up version.
Features include; audio/video recording, MP3 playback, alarm clocks, downloadable games, and even text messages.
Picture Mom’s cell phone rings;
Mom, “Hello”
Toddler, “Mummy…”
Mom, “Yes?”
Toddler, “I went poo-poo.”
Mom, “Good for you. Baby.”
Toddler, “Mummy…”
Mom, “Yes?”
Toddler, “I need toilet paper…”
Mom, “Where are you, Honey?”
Toddler, “In the bathroom upstairs…”
Mom, “Baby, what did I tell you about using Mommy’s minutes?”
Toddler, “Sorry…” (beat) “Mommy?”
Mom, “Yes?”
Toddler, “I still need toilet paper.”
