The Rising Value of eCoupons This Holiday Season
Recent economic shows that there is definite resilience among online sales this year, but not immunity. There is still growth projected (at least on paper), but we will see. Considering things are looking more and more bleak economically both nationally and internationally, I guarantee Retailers are scrutinizing over headcount and overhead. Understanding that Retailers have an easier time making a profit with their online sales since the overhead is lower (less headcount and shipping involved), we can only hope they will be pushing the biggest deals into their online efforts this holiday season.
According to the National Retail Federation, Retailers are going to have to face tough challenges to lure our business during this peak fiscal quarter. These same surveys reveal that Retailer are still hoping to offer some sort of free shipping incentives for online customers (as an example Target is already advertising free shipping on over 50,000 items this holiday season).
Regardless, as the Consumer, we will be out in force scouring the virtual bargain bins and checking the dates on those redeemable online coupon codes before pressing “purchase.” So whether you looking to stuff some stockings with some zip drives or whether you’re going to use those Fresh Pair coupons to buy some sexy stockings for your wife, keep your eye out for the bargains this year – they’re out there.
